Your Guide for Change

Psychotherapy

Welcome

Hi, I am Dr. Robert Musikantow. You have found me because you are struggling with a problem, or have an important goal you have been unable to achieve. You may feel discouraged, frustrated or overwhelmed .

When your efforts to solve your problems have not been successful, when you sense a need to bring about a change in your life but don’t know how; it’s time to seek help from a skilled professional.

Using modern, cutting- edge approaches to fostering change, I can help you to:

  • Break the chains of  self-defeating habits and replace them with new more effective behaviors.

  • Gain a new perspective on your current situation that will give you new choices and possibilities.

  • Improve your current relationships, and help you to build new ones.

  • Transform chronic stress and anxiety into productive action.

  • Learn a  better way to create focus and accomplish your goals.

  • Improve your mood and help you  regain your enthusiasm for life.

Who am I?

I am a clinical psychologist with more than 35 years of experience working with a wide variety of mental health issues both in my private practice and psychotherapy clinics.  In addition to providing direct service to clients, I was a professor for many years at Adler University teaching  psychotherapy and leading a certificate in hypnosis program. I have given many presentations at psychotherapy conferences and published articles in well- respected peer reviewed journals.

My approach to psychotherapy is called creative therapy. Creative therapy has its roots in the therapeutic approach of  Dr. Milton Erickson, systemic therapy and indigenous healing traditions. I always treat my clients as individuals and will work with you to  develop a personalized therapeutic approach  tailored to your unique situation.

I am an expert in helping you find your inner resources and abilities, so you can effectively resolve your issues. I search for your hidden gifts and amplify them rather than focusing on what you think is wrong with you. This focus allows for quicker and longer- lasting change. Together we will create a new, broader perspective that will allow you to discover better ways to address your situation, leading to a more resourceful and meaningful life.
