Clinical Hypnosis

We can think of ourselves as having both a conscious and unconscious mind. For change to be lasting and effective, both your conscious and unconscious minds need to be engaged.

This is where I can use hypnotic techniques during a session. Hypnotic approaches allow me to engage the deepest parts of you in marshaling your inner resources to address the challenges that you face.

Clinical hypnosis has nothing to do with the stage hypnoses you may have seen, where hypnosis is portrayed as the hypnotist dominating and forcing the client to do things against his or her will. This is a mere party trick.  Clinical hypnosis is about the client and the hypnotherapist cooperating to bring about the change that the client desires. It is always about what you want not what I want.  It is best used in conjunction with other techniques as part of a session.

Hypnosis can be helpful for:

- Reducing anxiety

- Improving mood

- Weight control

- Pain relief

- Improving sleep
